Would you like to attend a SCPPA conference, but need a little help to afford it? Well then you will be glad to know that SCPPA provides scholarship and award opportunities for its members to attend SCPPA conferences, based on service and merit.

Grady A. Wallace Excellence Award is named in honor of Grady Wallace, a former Commissioner of the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. During the Fall Conference, we will present the Grady A. Wallace Excellence Award to an active and well deserving SCPPA member.  This will be a great opportunity for professional growth while also enjoying the Grand Strand of South Carolina. We urge your participation. Please take a moment to nominate a deserving SCPPA member.

Purpose:

To perpetuate the ideas and philosophies of the SCPPA by providing incentive and assistance to a person(s) to further strengthen the effectiveness of the Association by actively participating in training and showing demonstrated commitment in excellence and innovation.

Criteria:

  1. Nominee must be a professional member of SCPPA and must be nominated by an active member of SCPPA.

  2. Nominee must have a minimum of 15 years of service in the field of criminal justice.

  3. Nominee is a practicing or retired practitioner in the field of probation, parole, community corrections or education.

  4. Nominee must have made significant contributions to the probation, parole and community corrections profession.
