Community Service
SCPPA is working to renew our commitment to Philanthropy! Each quarter, South Carolina Probation and Parole Association recognizes a non-profit organization and contributes a monetary gift or supplies for the work the organization does throughout our community. SCPPA would like to contribute to organizations all over the state. Please contact any board member if you have a particular philanthropy in mind that SCPPA could assist.

2nd Quarter 2011
This quarter our donation went to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar of revenue raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care and education. Our donation of $250 was made on behalf of Noah Wood who has CF and is the son of Lisa Wood who was formerly a Supervisor with State Probation in the Richland County Office.
